Al-Jazirah Chair for Intl. Journalism Program Launched
The Committee of Al-Jazirah International Chair is planning to launch the annual chair program in a workshop under the rubric: “Current Trends in International Journalism”, said Dr. Ali Al-Karni, Director of Al-Jazirah International C
The workshop would be held on March 9th, 2008 at hall number seven, opposite to the College of Arts, King Saud University, Al-Karni added. It would be under the auspices of H.E. Professor Abdullah Al-Uthman, Rector of King Saud University and Mr. Khalid Al-Malik, Editor-in-Chief of Al-jazirah Newspaper along with a number of faculty and mass communication students, he noted.
The workshop will present three papers, the first of which will tackle the modem trends in international journalism by John Hartmann, professor of Al-jazirah Chair for International Journalism. The second paper is made by Adel Drawesh, an editor and commentator in Daily Mail on the modern press trends in the European Journalism.
